Dress for Success Vancouver

We opened our doors in 1999 with a mission to empower women into the workforce by helping them make a great first impression through professional attire.

Today, we continue to value the power of first impressions, while recognizing that true economic empowerment requires so much more. To help women and gender-diverse individuals realize their highest potential, we need to invest in a continuum of support that includes pre-employment and job-retention training, mentorship, professional networks and a community of support.

Our wrap-around professional development and leadership programs, combined with our signature Dressing Services, address the needs of women and gender-diverse individuals who are striving to enter the workforce, and advance in their careers, while also addressing the systemic barriers to economic empowerment.

Since 1999, we have served more than 48,000 women and gender-diverse individuals across the Lower Mainland. Based on the median income data for women from the 2023 StatCan average income data, this represents a potential economic impact of $2.4 billion dollars.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors, corporate partners, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. At a time when resilience is more essential than ever, women are fighting to support themselves and their families. Dress for Success Vancouver stands on the front lines as an economic first responder, empowering women and gender diverse individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and fulfilling employment through professional attire, career services, and skills development programs.
