Hosting a Donation Drive is a great way to support our boutique inventory needs, while offering a meaningful and sustainable way to recycle your pre-loved clothing. By organizing a Donation Drive, you have the opportunity to make a direct impact on women in your community. Every clothing item or accessory collected will help women who are entering the workforce build confidence, leave a lasting impression, and secure opportunities that can change their lives. You can choose from several types of Donation Drives:
- General Clothing Drive
- Handbag Drive
- Coat Drive
- Jewellery Drive
- Hygiene and Cosmetics Drive
- Suit/Blazer Drive
Once you’ve selected the type of drive, our team will guide you through the process and provide promotional materials.
Please note: there is a suggested minimum donation of $500 from the participating organization, with the exception of non-profits, schools, and community organizations. This contribution helps cover essential costs, enabling us to accept new clients and provide them with the necessary assistance. Your donation ensures the success of our programs and services.

FAQ
How can male colleagues participate in the clothing drive?
While we only accept womenswear, male colleagues are invited to use our Amazon Wishlist to purchase our most urgently needed items. We also encourage them to make a callout to the women in their lives that might have some items to donate!

Do you offer tax receipts?
Dress for Success Vancouver is unable to provide receipts for clothing donations. We can issue tax receipts for monetary donations, in accordance with the Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations. If you are a company looking to donate new products, please email us to learn more.
PLEASE NOTE: Donated garments that are workplace appropriate are used in our Boutique and provided to clients during their Dressing Services appointments. Items that are not suitable for our current boutique needs may be sold through trusted donation partners to generate funds for our programs, or redistributed through other community organizations. Designer and luxury pieces that fall outside our guidelines are redirected to Turnabout Community, Canada’s first luxury clothing reseller supporting nonprofits like Dress for Success Vancouver. Through this partnership, 60% of the proceeds from resold items are returned to us, helping to sustainably manage inventory, fund our programs, and ensure every client enjoys a fair and consistent experience in our boutique.
